The most vital thing i think when preparing a meal is to make sure you have good pans. It's well worth spending a bit more to have good suacepans and knives.

Chris Hedges is a great abuser of the royal We unfortunately, even if a lot of what is there is accurate. I think you do a lot better than him in communicating the same points. My main issue is really with inconsistent definitions of what "Capitalism" and "Free Markets" actually are. In my view capitalism and free markets are not the same thing at all. I think every writer who uses those terms should qualify what they really mean.

Dear Dave, I'm writting to you from Portugal. I live in Lisbon. Have you ever been to Lisbon?

I wanted to write to tell you I'm so happy I found your blog. I know that the way we live nowadays is not sustainable. I also worry so much about my son that is 8 years old. He is so kind, sweet and innocent that sometimes I get scared with thoughts on how he will manage to survive in the different world he will face in a few years.
Although I felt all these concerns, I had no idea on how to cope with that and how to pass the best message to him. Sometimes I think about writting a notebook with my best thoughts, feelings and knowledge so that, if one day i'm not here anymore, he can have it and use it as a kind of guidance map.

But independently of that (the expression of my love as a mother) I will show him your blog. Because you are able to write and synthetize all that I beleive that will be helpful in a transition to a different world. And better...

Thanks you very much,

Respectfully,
Carla
