A LITTLE BRAGGING

I was pleased to discover that I’ve joined four other Salon bloggers on the grand-daddy of all ranking lists: the Blogging Ecosystem 500 Most Linked Blogs list . The list ranks all registered blogs by number of inbound blogs (the number of other blogs referring to it on their home page). How to Save the World just squeaks in at #499 with 56 inbound blogs. Thanks to those that made this possible, and to fellow Salon blogger Phil at Second P0st who maintains this list for the entire blogosphere. Please blogroll your favourite Salon bloggers and let’s see if we can get some more representation on this list.

    Thanks Michael. The new $20 bill you posted on your site looks quite snazzy – nice change from the boring uni-colour notes. Any thoughts on where the $CAD is headed relative to the $USD?

    It’ll be interesting to see how Americans react to the colors of the new notes. We’re some very fickle people. (We still won’t go for a 1 dollar coin no matter how hard the govt. tries.) Every time I go to another country that has multi-colored money I can’t help but think that it’s Monopoly money. :-) As for the CAD/USD… I wish I could answer that — I’m mainly just a stock guy. The USD has been dropping so hard of late, and our govt. seems to be backing off of their strong dollar rhetoric a bit. The safe bet is probably that the USD stays weak for a while longer. But I don’t know what CAD has been doing relative to USD. Most of what I see/hear is USD/Euro.

    I posted an article a while ago from an economist who said that short selling the $USD would help end the war and prevent new ones. At the time the Canadian dollar was at $.64, now it’s above $.72. I’m kicking myself for not taking his advice.
