DARYL FAVOR
FavorAfter Queenston I went to River Heights and then graduated from Kelvin in 1969.  I entered the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba the same year and graduated with my Masterís degree in 1976.  I met my husband Gordon Robinson in my class in first year.  After graduating together we moved to Vancouver, where Gordonís family lives, for 10 years.  In Vancouver we designed residential and some university projects by day and by night did museum exhibit design work with a friend.  When Expo 86 came along we worked on designs for several of the major pavilions.  In 1986, a lull in the Vancouver economy, gave us some time to explore the potential for architectural work on larger projects in Toronto and to be close to my sister, Mayla, who is a lawyer.  We have lived in Toronto ever since where weíve been designing projects for universities, colleges and hospitals.  We travel back to Vancouver every year to keep in touch with family, friends and our 16 nieces and nephews.  Since graduating we have also travelled frequently to Europe to visit friends, and enjoy art, architecture and urban design.  Weíve also driven to all kinds of out of the way places in Europe to enjoy the landscape, bringing along our hiking boots to do day hikes.  At home, we are gardeners and once a year, extreme canoeists in Killarney Park.
