KATHY LINES (MOORHOUSE)

KATHY LINES (MOORHOUSE)

They say everyone has a storyÖÖ.hereís mine.

After graduating from Kelvin in 1969 I went to work at the Royal Bank. During that time I met my husband David Lines. We were married in September 1972. A year later we began 16 in years in British Columbia-both Vancouver and Victoria. Our children, Trevor and Stephen, were born in Victoria in 1974 and 1977 respectively. Once the boys were in school all day I enrolled at a community college in the business admin program. I graduated in 1991 after 7 years of blending home life with studying.

In 1989 it was time to come ìhomeî. We settled in St Vital near my sister Nancy, friends and golf course. Trevor and Stephen adjusted well, and have made some life-long friends. They both live in Calgary now. Trevor works for Shaw Communications and will be married in August in Victoria. Stephen is a message therapist at a sports rehab centre and also works with the Calgary Hitmen hockey club.

My most recent job was as a travel agent. I loved the work but left it last fall due to a nasty case of tendinitis. My arms needed a rest from an 8 hour day on the computer. I also really enjoyed playing golf but have given it up temporarily (hopefully). I am slowly getting better. I have been working on the election campaign in River Heights and St Vital doing a bit of computer work, dropping brochures and walking the polls with one of the candidates.

In my spare time (does anyone really have spare time?) I like to read. I am also slowly getting back to quilt making and needlework.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
