    Dave, I really enjoyed your short story. The conversation between the characters is natural and rife with conflict, without sliding into stereotypes. I have my own impressions from the piece, but will leave it at that. ;-)I do agree with the female voice’s insistence that marriage is work — and I don’t think it is healthy to be on cruise control through your marriage. Maybe I am too post-60s for that! LOL. I also don’t believe marriage is a natural state, but a choice w/ all of the variables of any choice we make.

    Excellent short story and familiar type of hitting a wall. It goes real places that usually don’t make it on the page.
