Community-Based Business Success Predictor

This poster, which you can also download in a larger size as a PDF, is a recap of some of the major findings in my book Finding the Sweet Spot. If you can’t even imagine starting your own community-based business, here’s a post that might hopefully alleviate some of your fears.

A note to readers and subscribers: I have again been thinking about the purpose and direction of this blog, and I am exploring whether to make How to Save the World exclusively a place to post my creative works going forward. Like many of my fellow bloggers, I’m not sure I still have anything important to say in the form of essays or expository writing that hasn’t been said better by others (though I do expect to continue posting my Links of the Quarter).

So look for more stories, poetry and music in the months to come.

    Don’t.

Can see why you have got to this point. You have said so much over the years and must feel like going around in circles. Still have your sweet spot diagram on the wall. I use to think about that Joseph Conrad quote a lot- “Action is consolatory, it is the enemy of thought and friend of flattering illusions” Where does that leave us – other than watching as it falls apart. Heard on radio other day interview with brain expert saying that when the human brain is “doing nothing”- that is when it is most active. That Desiderta line…whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Fits with radical non-duality and other views. Peace and inspiration to you Dave. Remember we come here because we want to save the world.

    Yep, me too Philip. Thanks.

I’m very new to this subject and I have only recently discovered your web-site. I am very interested to know more about why you think the way you do.

To be honest, I think the message of your web-site needs to be condensed, summarised, indexed and made easier for noobs to grok it all. I’m a bit worried that your plan for this site might water down the ideas.

When I first found your web-site it took some sustained digging to even get the basics and I still feel that I have only scratched the surface. Your reading list is really good and I have been acquiring many of the books you recommend. I still think that your site needs some kind of summary / overview and reading-order to get the message out more quickly.

Great site. I hope you are wrong that nothing can be done to “save the world.”
