LINDA FEARN (CROSS)

LINDA FEARN (CROSS)

Following graduation from Kelvin in 1969, I attended the University of Manitoba, graduating in 1973 with B. Comm (Hons).  I worked for Parks Canada and then the  Manitoba department of Finance.  In 1976, I married Greg Fearn who I had met in Commerce and we have lived most of our married life in River Heights.  In 1979, I quit work to become a full-time mother to our twin daughters.  Just last week, we celebrated both of their convocations, Alison from the U of W with a BA in music and Sandra from the U of M with Human Ecology (Family Studies).  When the girls were two, I began to take pipe organ lessons (building on many years of piano study) and in 1986 I was appointed the organist of St. Andrew’s River Heights United Church, a position I still hold and enjoy.  I also teach music privately and accompany singers at the Winnipeg Music Festival.  Greg and I enjoy travelling and spending time at the family cottage at Sandy Hook.
