SHARRON DRINKWATER (O’BRIEN)

Graduated U of M, Home Ec and went off to Vancouver to intern as dietitian for one year, just long enough to adjust blood temperature to never again be able to survive Wpg winter. However also found the big city and the rain overwhelming, came back to Winnipeg and worked 4 years at Health Sciences Centre, had much better training there, and made some great friends.
 
Luckily met Don Drinkwater in Wpg, married in 1978 and returned to his home town – Vancouver – to look for new jobs and buy new home. Thus entering the real estate market before it went too wild. Cody born April 1981, Matt born April 1984. Two wonderful young men, both still living with me.
 
Sadly marriage ran aground 1998 or so, but still very good friends with ex, who now lives in Sacramento, affording good place for kids to visit. Work is great, at some points great escape! Most recently: 12 years at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver as Out Patient Dietitian, really enjoy working with the patients and the wonderful nurses.
 
Work out at the gym, spend time with many wonderful friends, became Christian with renewed enthusiasm a few years ago, and write monthly reviews of the many books i read to amuse myself and my friends. Retirement plans: write more, learn to play the piano and speak French!!
 
Thanks again for organizing this Grant and Nancy, i can’t believe how many people you have found. We’ll have to make it a regular event!!
